Banking law deals with the legal matters of financial institutions, including banks, credit unions, and savings & loans. Lenders and clients benefit from our understanding of today’s complex financial environment.
The attorneys in our Banking & Finance practice group primarily help lenders analyze, structure and document loans, both secured and unsecured. We also assist clients in working out and collecting problem loans.
Our banking practice consists primarily of representing financial institutions in several banking segments. Transactions may include structuring, negotiation and documentation of secured and unsecured loans, project financings, commercial and retail loan transactions, commercial and residential real estate, construction financing, contract negotiations, workout and collection of problems loans, foreclosures, as well as the defense and/or prosecution of most banking related matters. Typical projects may consist of real estate developments, including apartment projects, retail centers and office buildings, the purchase and sale of improved and unimproved properties, purchase and sale of business entities, commercial leases, and various business loan transactions, including asset based loan and working capital financing.
Our team includes former experienced bankers who understand the problems unique to the banking and finance industries.
